With a focus on safe, customized, one-on-one lessons by certified Instructors, ISRs survival swimming lessons emphasize health, ongoing program evaluations and parent education to deliver the most effective and safest results in the industry. ISR lesson sessions are always 1-on-1, up to 10 minutes daily, Monday - Friday, for 4-6 weeks. This schedule honors the sensorimotor development of young children and lessons are guided using small approximations that ensure success.

ISR Self-Rescue ® Full Session INFANT (New Students)
Lessons for INFANTS (at least 6mo ~ 12mo and NOT walking well) focus on teaching the child to roll onto their back to attain and maintain a backfloat, rest and breathe, and to be able to maintain this life-saving position until help arrives.

ISR Self-Rescue ® Full Session TODDLER/CHILD (New Students)
Lessons for children who are walking well (~ 1yr+) focus on teaching the swim-float-swim survival sequence. Children learn to swim with their face in the water, recognize the need for air, then roll onto their back to float, rest, and breathe.  After resting, the child flips over and continues swimming again. A child can perform this swim-float-swim sequence to reach a point of safety in the water: wall/steps/ladder & climb out.  It is an effective method, even for older kids who have other swim skills.  The confidence and self-esteem of these young swimmers is truly amazing -- this goes beyond, teaching them also to survive!

Transitional Refresher (ISR Infant last year)
These lessons are for children who have already completed the infant rollback-to-float survival lesson session last year and are transitioning into the full swim-float-swim sequence.  Transitional lessons usually take about 4 weeks.

Refresher (Swim-Float-Swim last year)
Refresher lessons are recommended every 6 months and are for children who have already completed the full ISR session last year and need to refresh their skills and adjusting them since they've grown.  These lessons focus on adjusting your child's existing swim-float-swim survival skillset to their growing body.  We also assess and discuss possible needs for maintenance lessons.

Maintenance Lesson (single/1)
These lessons are for children who have already completed a full ISR session (prior year) AND refreshers this year ... OR a full ISR session THIS year.  Maintenance lessons help students to maintain their skills and confidence throughout the year.  Ideally, maintenance lessons should be scheduled at the intervals recommended by the instructor, ranging from twice a week to once a month. Any unfilled time-slots become available each Saturday for the following week -- contact me if you still have difficulty finding availability.
